SamSMU is highly engaged in building resilient infrastructure not only within itself, but also within the city and the region. It also plays an important role in developing sustainable industrialization in the region especially in the area of healthcare and is one of the most innovative educational organizations of the region.
As the UN established targets and indicators are too specific for an educational organization, the report will follow another pattern.
Regardless of the fact that the number of the university spin-offs has decreased in 2019 in comparison to 2018, it has been preparing the ground for starting the new ones which might happen in 2020. The research income decrease in 2019 ws also expected due to the change of the strategies, however with the new course we expect its increase in 2020-2021 significantly.
The number of employees and the number of academic staff have not changed in comparison to 2018.
SamSMU is working towards the increase of researchers and research institutions which is expected to happen in 2020.
The work on digitalization of the university has been started in 2019 and is expected to be finished by 2021 at latest with yearly constant improvements in the future.
